A mob of about 25-30 youth with sharp weapons, bamboo sticks attacked the KMSS leader without any interaction, any kind of warning or voice exchange. That group also attacked other print & electronic media personals, warned them not to coverage the situation & broke their camera. Some reporters could not even come out from that place fearing for their lives, kept themselve hiding somewhere.

Gogoi was then admitted to Nalbari Civil Hospital with the help of other local people and other reporters who somehow able to save the brutally beaten leader. According to the reporters, they had to request & prey the people to stop beating him for his life. Gogoi was there on a bike and with other two persons. He had no other KMSS personals along with him at that time.

After 3 days, Gogoi has been released by the Shwaheed Mukunda Kakoti Hospital authority on 9th July, Monday saying that he has been recovered from his injuries. Earlier Gogoi had declared that he will be in the hospital till the time all the six accused youth congress are arrested. While he was in hospital, thousands of people from around the Nalbari district & also from outside visited the hospital to have a look & to understand the present health conditions of their leader. It is said that KMSS has almost no organizational strength in that district. But when the govt. machine had observed his popularity even in congress dominated area, they forcefully transferred the leader to Guwahati by a malfunctioning (customised) ambulance. It was reported that the vehicle’s brake failed on the road (like a movie story!) and somehow escaped from an accident. This is the probable second plot of taking his life. Now it is very much clear that Akhil Gogoi’s life is not safe.
This is another example of autocracy & fascism of congress government, where no one is safe even their own people. The government is vowed to eliminate all its enemies whoever come forward to protest anything against about them. Few days back some MLA’s were assaulted by congress leaders in Nagaon and nothing happened to them.
The condition in Assam is the worst. There is total anarchy prevailing in this state. All are after money & power only. They are strangling peoples voice so that no one can say anything against them. We condemn this government with strong word!
